Here is a lovely Victorian micro beaded ladies handbag with a chained handle-possibly French in origin? Featuring a multi colored design on each side with gorgeous etched detailing to the handbag frame; opens and closes perfectly. There are nice beaded tassels at the bottom of the handbag; inside is accented with wonderful French roses as trim. The beads look to be possible steel beads. The outside and inside of this lovely heirloom purse is in very good condition.

Vintage black velvet purse, with a gold tone metal frame and chain handle. Circa 1950s. Ball twist latch close. Inside the open compartment is finished with creamy white satin fabric. Velvet is very soft; rich black velvet fabric. Clasp opens and snaps closed nicely. Measures 7" wide and 5" high. Carry chain is 11" in total length. Condition is very good; interior and exterior without signs of wear, holdes, or discoloration. An elegant vintage ladies handbag!

Here is an elegant 1930s hand beaded evening purse made in France from the respected designer Freddy of Paris. This designer is well known for offering some of the best French beaded handbags, and this handbag is no exception. Measures 8-1/4” at its widest point , and has a 5” depth, not including the brass chain handle. Closure is a beaded flower that opens to reveal two pockets; inside lined with black satin material. This item does not appear to have been used often, and we were told it was stored for many years. Overall condition is excellent; all original. Marked with tag Freddy 10 Rue Auber Paris Tel Ric: 78.08. Another tag reads Made in France, Hand Made. No tears, missing or loose beads. Most probably this is a Victorian ladies finger drawstring handbag, dating to the period when a lady would have taken it to a ball or to dinner. It features a black crotched body accented with fringes of fine steel seed beads. In very good condition; inside lining of pale peach material show separation from body in one or two areas, consistent with age. Very difficult to find. A lovely Victorian purse that would grace any collection.
