Vintage Sterling Floral Photograph Locket

This is a lovely vintage Sterling photograph locket with a floral motif. This round locket measures 1" in diameter and features a raised floral design on the front, and plain backside. It opens from the top to reveal two round photograph sections; complete with vintage photographs. The rims of these sections are removable and placement of the photographs into the locket is easy. Once replaced, the rims secure the photographs in the locket. Celluloid photograph covers are present for both sections. Marked Sterling inside. The locket is in very good condition, with only light surface scratches. It has a wonderful vintage patina but can be polished if desired. A friendly reminder this item has been previously owned and worn.

Victorian Onyx Oval Brooch with 14K Goldfilled Locket

This is a rare and wonderful Victorian locket brooch. Featuring a large oval oynx stone brooch with delicate roping around border. Attached is a fabulous goldfilled locket. Locket is goldfilled. This beautiful has wonderful hand engraved work on both sides. Hinged locket opens from side to reveal two photograph sections, complete with glass frame inserts. I have not attempted to remove these. I did not find any mark to indicate manufacturer or gold content; although my jeweler indicated the pieces are goldfilled. Onyx stone measures 1-1/2" x 1-1/4", with trombone pin stem popular during the Victorian period. Locket measures 1-1/4" in length, and 3/4" at widest point. Together, piece measures 2-3/4" x 1-1/2". Absolutely stunning Victorian piece, and a family heirloom.

Here is an older miniature gold-filled locket and necklace chain. Manufactured by A-Z Chain Company, located in Providence, R.I. Founded by Carl Anshen and Saul Zietlin. This company mark was first used in 1905. The company ceased operations in 1975 and is now part of the Hayward Company. The locket features a combination of geometric and floral engraved front design with ample space for monogram, if desired.. Measures 3/8" in diameter. Hinged locket opens from top to reveal two round photograph sections. Marked A-Z Co. and 1/20 12K G.F. on necklace chain (measures 16" in length) and also marked on back of locket 1/20 12K. In good condition with normal wear noted including dents in front and back; view pictures for more details.

This round locket features a floral engraved front design and monogrammed backside engraved with initials JT and date 4-29-73. Measures 5/8" in diameter. Hinged locket opens from side to reveal two round photograph sections. Marked W. E. H. CO. which stands for Walter E. Hayward. The company was established in 1851 in Connecticut by his father. The name was changed to his initials before 1904. Necklace chain measures 15-1/2" in length and is marked 1/20 12KT GF. Excellent condition. A lovely vintage locket to own or give as a gift.

This round locket measures about 7/8" in diameter and is marked inside 1/20 12K GF and with the mark L.S. Co. Back is monogrammed with the initials MES. Front of locket is a design of geometric lines with floral accents. Inside opens to reveal two photograph sections with celluloid picture covers and rims intact. Very good condition. This beautiful locket is made from unmarked gold, (acid tests at 140 ct.). This unusual oval locket measures 3/4 x 1/2" and features a floral design front with enamel decoration (taille d' epergne?); backside also features a lovely design of flowers. It opens from the side to reveal one oval photograph section with glass cover included. Unsigned. The locket is in very good condition, with some wear of enamel on the front cover and a slight dent on back site. It has a wonderful vintage patina but can be polished if desired. Here is a Victorian photograph locket, circa 1890-1910. Photograph jewelry became popular during the Victorian period; given and worn as a act of affection and honor to loved ones. This round locket features a star design accented a single brilliant (clear rhinestone). It measures 3/4" in diameter. It opens from the top and can hold two photographs inside. Both original celluloid picture covers and the original goldfilled frames are in place, with the original photographs. The locket is in very good condition, appears to have been gently used. It has a wonderful vintage patina but can be polished if desired. Probably gold-filled although this piece is not marked to gold content or manufacturer. Marked H&H with a star logo for Hamilton and Hamilton, Jr.-a jewelry company based in Providence, R.I. from 1883 to 1922 and founded by Ralph Spence Hamilton and his son Ralph S. Hamilton, Jr. Both photograph frames are also marked H&H with a star logo. Back of locket is undecorated. On necklace chain that is probably not suitable in length (14"). Similar lockets can be seen in C. Jeannenne Bell's book Answers to Questions About Old Jewelry, pg. 195. A beautiful nostalgic piece, and sought after by collectors.
