Established in Massachusetts in 1876, Whiting & Davis is famous for its beautiful woven gold and silver mesh evening bags. The company expanded their line in 1907 by adding jewelry of Victorian and Art Nouveau influences. Its mesh spiral snake bracelets are sought after by collectors.

From an Pennsylvnia estate, this is a vintage Whiting & Davis Co. faux Mother-of-Pearl ring. Features ornate floral and foliate motifs. Goldtone, with an oval faux Mother-of-Pearl center. Adjustable, currently a size 4-1/2".

SOLD Vintage Whiting & Davis Silver Antiqued Floral Bracelet

From an Pennsylvnia estate, this is a vintage Whiting & Davis Co. antiqued silver-plated bracelet, complete with safety chain. Features sections of engraved cross-hatching, with applied floral and foliate motifs. A gold-plated version of this bracelet can be found on page 212 of Judith Miller's book Costume Jewerly. This bracelet is unsigned, however, this design is typically attributed to Whiting & Davis (occasionally I have found this design produced by Vogue however that is rare).

Signed & Vintage Whiting & Davis Art Deco Mesh Bag

From an old Eastern Shore estate, this is a vintage Whiting & Davis Co. Art Deco mesh bag. Kept tucked safely away for years, and such a beauty! Note the goldtone Art Deco frame and water colors and delightful fringe bottom; which is totally intact. The inside silk lining is not complete but can be replaced. Mesh section is in excellent condition. Marked inside of frame with Mesh Whiting & Davis Co. Bag. Measures 7” high including clasp, x 5-1/2” at widest point across frame. This collectible bag displays beautifully.
